Ben Affleck Denies Dating His Children's Former Nanny

"We are considering legal options," the actor's rep tells E! News of claims that he is seeing Christine Ouzounian

Ben Affleck is not really dating Christine Ouzounian.

One month after announcing the end of his 10-year marriage to Jennifer Garner, a tabloid has claimed that the Oscar winner, 42, is seeing Christine, 28, a woman he and Jennifer, 43, hired as a nanny for their three children—Violet Affleck, 9, Seraphina Affleck, 6, and Samuel Affleck, 3—earlier this spring. "They would hang out without the kids," a friend of Christine's alleged. "And they were very flirty."

According to the magazine, Jennifer recently fired Christine.

However, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star's rep tells E! News that the Ben and Christine romance "story is not true," adding, "It's tabloid journalism hiding behind blind sources. It's a shameful ploy to stay relevant for the magazine."

"We are considering legal options," Ben's rep adds.

Ben and Jennifer announced their breakup last month.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time," the actors told E! News in a joint statement. "This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

The actors, who met on the set of 2001's Pearl Harbor and fell for each other on the set of 2003's Daredevil, sought martial counseling and agreed to a trial separation before deciding to call it quits. "They were a great team as parents, but with each other, they didn't want the same things," a source told E! News in early July. Eventually, the source added, Ben and Jennifer realized that "the best thing for them and for the children would be to make a change."

For their children's sake, they are putting on a united front. Jennifer and the kids are staying in a $2 million rental home in Atlanta while she films Miracles From Heaven, while Ben is staying in the guesthouse. And, as E! News previously reported, the actor plans to live on the family's property after they return home.

Ben and Jennifer are also renting L.A. neighbor Brooke Shields' home while they renovate their $17.5 million mansion in California. "It's for convenience sake," a source recently explained to E! News. "They wanted another option."
