Xposure/AKM-GSILouis Tomlinson is preparing for his life to head into a very new direction.
The One Direction singer is going to be a dad, E! News confirms. The 23-year-old crooner and Los Angeles-based stylist Briana Jungwirth are expecting a child together, and a source tells us the duo are "super excited about it."
These soon-to-be parents met through mutual friends earlier this year after Tomlinson's split from longtime girlfriend Eleanor Calder. And although Jungwirth and Louis weren't said to be a couple, the boy bander has expressed that he will be a very "hands on" dad and by her side throughout the pregnancy, according to People, who first broke the story.
"Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother. It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer," a mutual friend of the couple told the mag.
"Louis and Briana care about each other very much and have spent a lot of time together privately over the last few months," the insider added.
"They are both really happy and although they aren't in a relationship, their friendship is extremely strong and they are both really excited about the baby. It's early days and Briana and the baby's health are the most important things right now."
E! News has reached out to Tomlinson's camp for comment.
Louis has yet to address the news on social media, but something tells us he will at some point, because who could forget that one time in 2012 when he pulled a fast one on everybody for April Fool's?
LOL, just a few years too early.
Fans first got a glimpse of the pair together back in May, when the young stud was spotted at Snoop Dogg's album release party in Hollywood with a beautiful blond, who was later identified as Jungwirth.
The two were seen together outside the Hollywood hotspot and were later snapped holding hands as they left the venue in Tomlinson's limo. "Louis is mainly in LA to work on 1D's new album but he is also making sure he is having plenty of fun," a source told the Mirror at the time.
"His friend gets on with her friend, so they've all been hanging out together. He is young and single, so why not?"
And the rest, as they say, is history.
