Oh, Jennifer Lawrence, claiming you're just realizing that you may have a bit of a potty mouth.
(Actually, the Oscar winner is really no more uncouth than most other people, it's only because her lack of affect is so rare among movie stars that she's been labeled sailor-ish in her manner of speaking.)
"How did you just learn that?" her Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth wondered incredulously during their appearance on Conan last night, along with Josh Hutcherson.
Talking about the must-be-over-18 sign in Hall H for the Mockingjay Part 2 panel that he moderated yesterday at Comic-Con, Conan O'Brien added, "It's almost like they wrote that just for you!"
"I have personality dysmorphia," Lawrence insisted.
But at least O'Brien figured out a way to harness all those blue words for a good cause!
"We have a swear jar right here," he offered up a jar labeled "Swearing Is Caring." "I have several thousand dollars here and here's what we're gonna do."
So the object was, Conan would drop $100 in the jar for every profanity J.Law could come up with in 30 seconds, then he'd double the amount and donate it to the charity of her choice.
"I'm doing it for the children, I'm doing it for the f--king kids," Lawrence agreed, doing a few shoulder rolls and loosening her neck to get in prime swearing mode. And away she went!
Now, we're no experts, but we would love to hear the unedited version. She somehow managed to talk about food an awful lot (really, what did we expect?), with "waffle," "steak," "burger," "strawberry" and at least half of the word "popsicle" making the cut.
