Thank goodness for grandparents!

Princess Charlotte is undoubtedly taking up a lot of her parents' time and attention these days, but Prince George got his own special day with grandma Carole Middleton! Per Pop Sugar, the future king and Kate Middleton's mom spent some quality time at Bucklebury Farm Park, where George paid a visit to the petting zoo and was even seen getting a lift on his granny's shoulders.

Prince William's mini-me, who turns 2 next month, reportedly wore an aqua colored jumper, a white shirt, shorts and converse shoes for the day out, while Carole stayed chic in a fern green jumper and short white skirt.

This isn't the only outdoors outing with a grandparent that George has had this week—on Monday, he helped grandfather Prince Charles plant two new trees on the family's country estate. According to Hello! magazine, the two planted the trees at Highgrove House, the Prince of Wales' Gloucestershire property he purchased in 1980.

Also per Hello! mag, according to an onlooker, Charles was "obviously very proud of Prince George"—and understandably so! Adjusting to a new baby isn't always easy, but George seems to be quite happy in his role as big brother. He totally stole the show—smiling, sticking his tongue out and generally just being adorable—at the 2015 Trouping the Colour parade event. He was clearly having a blast, too, at a charity polo match earlier this month, where he also got in some quality time playing with mom Kate!

Duchess Catherine isn't quite as tired with a newborn the second time around. That's probably because baby Charlotte is "easier on mum than Prince George was," Charles revealed at a Clarence House tea party for World War II veterans. According to a guest at the event, the proud grandfather was "talking about grandchildren" and said Kate and William's daughter is already sleeping through the night.

Enjoy the quiet now, though, because George's terrible terrific twos are right around the corner!
