Michelle Rodriguez is more than proud of Cara Delevingne for opening up about girlfriend St. Vincent for the first time in her recent Vogue cover story.

"Oh that's so sexy, you go girl!" she told E! News of the model's admission that she's in love with singer Annie Clark (better known by her stage name St. Vincent) at the Fast & Furious-Supercharged ride press launch at Universal Studios. "Work it out, I think that's hot!"

Rodriguez, who came out as bisexual in 2013, continued, noting it's hard to be honest about one's sexual orientation in a society filled with so much judgment.

"I think everybody should be open about everything in their lives, but at the end of the day the world isn't that black and white," she said. "You've got some people who, if they really did say what they do for a living, they'd lose their job. And that's the real world. The real world is that with the truth comes judgment. And with judgment comes opinion and with opinion comes stupidity, ignorance and all these other things that can really mess up your life."

She added: "What you do behind closed doors should never affect your work."

The model-turned-actress stuns on the July cover of Vogue magazine, and, while she's never publicly defined her sexual orientation, she opens up about her current relationship.

"I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days," Cara says. "And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle."

The Paper Towns star also reveals she struggled with her sexuality from a very young age. "It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it," she says.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, has nothing but words of praise for the 22-year-old beauty.

"For her to come out, god bless, I think that's beautiful," she gushed, but added that many of her friends have not done the same for fear of judgment.

"I have tons of friends who are in the closet, and you know what? Respect. Because you can't control how people are. You've got haters out there," she admitted, adding, "There are too many variables to really judge somebody on their sexual preference. It's just ignorant."
