One Regal Cinemas employee is out of a job after going on a racist Twitter rant in the wake of Wednesday's horrific Charleston massacre at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, one of South Carolina's oldest African-American churches.

The purported employee went private with her tweets after facing considerable backlash, but several other users as well as online sites retained screen grabs of her alleged comments while they were still viewable to the public.

In one of these purported tweets, the young woman, who appears to be white, wrote: "Don't complain about being a minority and say whites are a problem when your ancestors chose to come here knowing they would be a minority."

In another, she suggested scathingly, "IF YOU ARE A MINORITY AND DONT LIKE IT, GO BACK THATS WHAT FREEDOM IS," and in another, she lamented, "Half of minorities might as well have 'you should feel bad for being white' tattooed on their foreheads."

These sentiments did not sit will with others in the social media-sphere. Other tweeters tried to track down an employer for the person behind these hateful posts, but this didn't seem to concern her.

"My job has nothing to do with my Twitter thank you," the employee wrote. She also posted what appeared to be a screen grab of a text from "Reg.GM" (presumably meant to stand for Regal General Manager) in which she appeared to ask, "Is my job effected (sic) by my opinion on Twitter?"

A supposed superior appeared to reply, "No you work tomorrow social media has to affiliation with our corporation. See you then!"

Regal Cinemas released a statement that this "alleged text from her GM is false."

As for the woman purportedly behind those terrible tweets? "This individual does not represent Regal Entertainment Group," the company said in a statement. "Her comments are offensive and she has engaged in behavior that violates everything which Regal stands for. No representative from Regal has in any way consented or acknowledged her or the continuation of her employment."

It continued: "Rest assured that no Regal Entertainment Group guest, regardless of which Regal you frequent, will ever need to worry about any individual being employed by Regal that engaged in such conduct."

Regal Entertainment Group also tweeted: "Thank you everyone for bringing an unfortunate situation to our attention.. We do not support or condone this behavior in any way shape form."

E! News attempted to reach out to the former employee believed to be responsible for the racist tweets for comment, but we did not receive an immediate response.
