Kylie Jenner has grown up in the public eye, which means people have directed nasty, unwarranted comments toward her since she was a little girl.

Bullying, sadly, is nothing new to the 17-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, but that doesn't mean the cruel words no longer hurt her. In a series of Snapchat videos posted Wednesday, Kylie opened up about this painful topic and also shared some advice for others experiencing the same thing.

"I've been bullied since I've been 9,  from the whole world it feels like sometimes," she said, keeping her voice barely above a whisper. "And I think that I've done a really great job at handling all of this."

"There's bullies everywhere," she lamented. "This is just a little late Snapchat to tell whoever with their own bullies that the only opinion that really matters is yours and to never change."

Amen to that, doll. Kylie wanted to make it clear, too, that she wasn't fishing for sympathy. "This isn't a pity party, though," she said. "Don't get it twisted...This is for the others with bullies out there to know that you're not alone."

So how do you keep that negativity from getting to you? "I think you should only really listen to what your family and your close friends say," Kylie told Teen Vogue earlier this year. "I try to let it go in one ear and out the other and just stay positive."

Kylie realizes that a lot of people are listening to her—4 million people watch her Snapchats, she said Thursday. "Half of you guys think that I'm weird," she said, "and the other half think I'm funny."

Regardless of what you think of her, though, Kylie wants everyone to do the same thing:  "Spread love," she said with a smile. "Love y'all."
