Keep your friends close and your enemies closer!

Hailey Baldwin is doing just that with some Twitter users who aren't too happy with her for being so close to Justin Bieber. After pictures of Justin and Hailey looking pretty close emerged on the Internet (including on his Instagram), the Beliebers were not happy with Stephen Baldwin's daughter.

These two have always said that they're just friends, but the potentially PDA pics were enough to get Justin's fans into a frenzy and reboot the are-they-or-aren't-they debate. Based on some users' tweets, it seems that the Beliebers are anti-Hailey.

One person even tweeted to Baldwin, "he's always f--king other girls but if you want to have no self respect do you boo @haileybaldwin."

The 18-year-old model didn't appreciate the user's comments and fired back with her own response. "I have nothing but respect for myself what I chose to do in my personal life is my business!" she replied.

The interaction caused #Hailey to be a trending topic on Twitter Monday night, but it seems that the tweets have since been deleted.

Hailey told E! News in the past that she and Justin are just good friends. "I've known him since I was so young—since I was like 13—and we've just been good friends over the years," she explained at the Exodus premiere. "We have just stayed close and there's nothing more to it than that."

She slammed the rumors again in February when she told E! News that she was just trying to help him get through a tough time. "He's just going through a time in his life where he's transitioning in a really positive way and he needs good people around him," she said. "And I'm trying to be a good friend and be there for him and support him."

Although she does her best to ignore the backlash, Hailey can't seem to shake the hearsay. "But any male in his place, any girl that's around him they automatically assume," Alec Baldwin's niece continued. "That's the world we live in. I'm just trying to be there for him and support him as a friend."
