This time it was Uncle Jesse who learned the big life lesson.

John Stamos was arrested for driving under the influence Friday night, the Beverly Hills Police Department confirms.

According to a media release obtained by E! News, BHPD received "numerous calls" about a possible drunk driver in the area of Canon Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard. Officers stopped the Full House star, who was alone in his vehicle, at Beverly Drive and South Santa Monica.

Stamos was then taken to a nearby hospital due to a possible medical condition, police say, where he was placed under arrest for DUI after a subsequent investigation determined he was under the influence.

The 51-year-old actor was cited and released into the care of the hospital, police said. He's scheduled to appear at the LAX courthouse to answer to the charge on Sept. 11.

Stamos, who after Full House went on to star on later seasons of ER, as well as the sitcoms Jake in Progress and Necessary Roughness, recently signed on for the already super-hyped 2016 Netflix project Fuller House. Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin are also set to star in the 13-episode nostalgia-fest.

Stamos, who next up stars in the Fox sitcom Grandfathered, has also been tapped to announce the nominations for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards with Uzo Aduba on July 16 at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
