Chris Pratt Calls Himself a "Cheap Magic Mike" While Reliving His Stripper Past—Get the Details!

Jurassic World actor also recalls his days living on the beach in Maui

You better believe Chris Pratt has some serious moves!

Long before booking gigs on both the big and small screen, the Jurassic World star was a struggling actor working hard for the money.

In Pratt's case, sometimes the cash came from dancing as an amateur stripper.

E! News has obtained an exclusive first look at the July issue of Red Bulletin. And in the publication, the 35-year-old travels back in time to recall some wild gigs he performed to pay the bills.

After dropping out of college halfway through his first semester, Pratt became a discount ticket agent that was equally short-lived. He would then start working as a stripper or a "cheap Magic Mike" as Pratt told the publication.

"I was always a very much naked person. I loved to always get naked," the Parks and Recreation alum recently added in an interview with Buzzfeed. "I was very free, so I thought, 'I may as well get paid.'"

The actor admitted that he wasn't afraid to go the Full Money for $40 a pop. He even performed at a friend's grandmother's birthday party to the delight of guests.

"I did go one time and audition on a stage for a club, but I don't think I got the job," he added. "I don't think I'm a very good dancer."

When one friend later invited the college dropout to Hawaii, Pratt didn't hesitate for a second. 

Instead, he traveled to Maui where he lived in a clapped-out van on the beach in Maui where the magazine says he "spent most of his time drinking and smoking weed, earning his money doing casual waiting jobs."

Today, Pratt is winning over the ladies with his kind heart and signature sense of humor.

He's also gearing up for the Friday release of Jurassic World. Not bad for a guy who used to shake it for a few bucks.

"He's just a beautiful human being inside and out and incredibly honorable. I could go on and on," Bryce Dallas Howard told E! News. "For my daughter, for my son, I'm so glad that they have someone like that to look up to in movies. He's pretty much a unicorn."
