ABCWhile we are totally going to miss seeing Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on the Full House revival on Netflix, their co-stars are OK with them skipping out on the big reunion.
"They're not doing it and I'm just happy that they're happy," Bob Saget told me last night at the L.A, premiere of Entourage (he has a cameo in the new big screen adaptation of the hit HBO series). "I want my friends to do what they want to do…They have a whole different creative life now.
"I love them," he continued. "I'll see them soon when I'm in New York. I'm always bothering them."
John Stamos originally tweeted that he was "heartbroken" that the Olsens declined to revive their role as Michelle Tanner on Fuller House, but later posted, "I understand they're in a different place and I wish them the best. I promise you will not be disappointed with our reunion and spin off!!"
Fuller House focuses on his eldest daughter, D.J. Tanner-Fuller, played by Candace Cameron Bure, now 39. The other main cast members are Jodie Sweetin, 33, who reprises her role as her and Michelle's sister Stephanie Tanner (known for her catchphrase, "How rude!") and Andrea Barber, 38, who returns as D.J.'s BFF Kimmy Gibler.
Lori Loughlin will also be back as will Dave Coulier.
The 13-episode Fuller House is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016.
At the same time I was chatting with Saget last night, Mary-Kate and Ashley were 3,000 miles away in New York City at the CFDAs, where they were named womenswear designer of the year for their luxury line The Row. They took home the same prize in 2012.
