One major Trekkie in China tried to "boldly go where no man has gone before" when it came to architecture, but the media got in the way and made a big error. And Trekkies do not handle mistakes well when it comes to their favorite show, Star Trek.

Liu Dejian, founder of NetDragon Websoft, is a huge fan of the sci-fi show and decided to build the China-based headquarters in the shape of one of Star Trek's famous spaceships. CNN Money reported that the now-iconic building was modeled after the USS Enterprise, but true fans were quick to point out that it is, in fact, the Voyager and not the other.

People took to the comments section and social media to let the author of the article know that he is seriously mistaken when it comes to his outer space vehicles. Some comments even sparked debate among users.

"Star Trek fans, who know the difference between Janeway's ship and Kirk's Ship, are going to go crazy," one user wrote. "This is Voyager, not the Enterprise. Janeway was the best captain of the group though."

Another commenter wrote, "Doesn't even look like any Enterprise I have ever seen. Looks like an Intrepid class, Long Range Science Vessel (Tier 4/5 fleet)."

Clearly Trekkies know their stuff, as another agreed, writing, "Actually, though somewhat reminiscent of the Sovereign class -E, it's closest to the Intrepid class Voyager."

Another commenter on a different article noted that it's just a spaceship looking for some love. "It looks more like Voyager on it's back waiting for a belly rub," the user wrote. Indeed, it kind of does.

Twitter users were also quick to correct the author's error. "It's Voyager, not the Enterprise. Get it right. Jesus," one person tweeted, while another was willing to give his "nerd" opinion: "Looks more like the USS Voyager than the Enterprise #NerdInsight," the user wrote.

One was willing to provide a visual, because why not:
