A Dawson's Creek Reunion? Why Katie Holmes Isn't Sure It Would Work

Could the magic be recaptured all these years later?

Do you really want to see a Dawson Leery and Joey Potter pushing 40? That's Katie Holmes' big question.

The Dawson's Creek star is sounding off about any reunion potential, and, well, it may not please some fans longing to see Pacey, Joey, Dawson and the ghost of Jen (Michelle Williams) back together again. "I don't know," she said in a Yahoo Style interview with Joe Zee. "Does it work today? I don't want them to grow up. It's kind of like your parents, they never get out of their 50s. That's where they are."

Looking back on her time on the show, Holmes said everybody enjoyed it. "It was of a certain time. It was pre-Internet. There was an innocence there," she said.

Holmes is returning to TV in a big way this summer with a role on Showtime's Ray Donovan. Holmes, a fan of the series, said it's been a "wonderful experience." "My character is a challenge for me because she's a bit of a femme fatale," she said. "She's very strong, she's very complicated."

With Holmes and Joshua Jackson both on Showtime—he's on The Affair—we can probably at least expect some reunion photos from network parties. Plus, James Van Der Beek is on CBS' CSI: Cyber and Showtime is a subsidiary of CBS...so what we're saying is they all need to be together for some corporate synergy. Hey, a photo is the next best thing—and sometimes better than an actual reunion. No disappointment in storylines!
