This world needs George Clooney and Amal Clooney's genes passed on for generations to come, but in order for that to happen, this power couple's gotta make some babies!

In an interview for CBS This Morning, Charlie Rose asked the Tomorrowland if he ever thought about having kids. George's answer, while not wholly disappointing, didn't exactly point to procreation plans in the near future....

"I mean, I've thought about it, I suppose," he said. "But I haven't really—it hasn't been high on my list of...I've been asked it a lot lately because I've gotten married and I'm doing a movie with kids in it..."

Clearly, the 54-year-old actor wanted to dodge the daddy question. But Charlie, veteran journalist and friend to the star, pressed on, saying, "You got such a great dad [journalist Nick Clooney], and you're so close to him. That must be a powerful emotion of you..."

"It is," agreed George, "and I'm really close to my mom [Nina Clooney], too. I'm really close to my family..."

"So family's important to you?" asked Charlie.

"Oh, yeah, big time!" said George. And humanity, here's a glimmer of hope to hold on to even if George and Amal don't end up having kids: They've got nieces and nephews!

The Oscar winner couldn't help but brag a little, too, about one of his sister Adelia's kids. "My nephew was just made prom king from the high school that I went to," said Uncle George, noting that when he was a teenager in Kentucky, he was not named to prom court!

Can't forget about the cool kids doing coat check! Tomorrowland hits theaters Friday.
