Earlier today, the 28-year-old actress' attorney Shawn Holley appeared in an L.A. court to face Judge Mark Young, who is not happy that Lohan has only completed about nine hours of her 125 hours of court-mandated community service. The uncompleted service stems from LiLo's 2012 traffic crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.
Holley argued that Lohan has been unable to complete the hours because she's been living in London for months and travel back to the West Coast is too expensive. Holley also tells E! News CSV Positive Futures, the youth-volunteer nonprofit that the Mean Girls star has been affiliated with in London, changed locations. "Unfortunately, CSV moved from a location near Lindsay's home to a location almost two hours from her home," Holley tells E! News. "The transportation costs have been exorbitant and have resulted in her traveling to CSV less frequently than required to get her hours done quickly."
Young agreed to let Lohan completed her community service in New York at the Brooklyn Community Center where she will work with children. But there's a catch: LiLo must complete the remaining 114 hours of service in the next three weeks. "If it is not done by May 28 there will be consequences," Young said.
Young sentenced Lohan to an additional 125 hours of community service back in February when he denied some of the troubled stars' recorded hours. Earlier this week, Lohan took to Instagram to share a photo of her allegedly working off her service hours. "Community Service -office day," she wrote.
Just last month, Lohan revealed she's adopted London as her new hometown saying the city "feels like home." "I miss [London] every time I have to leave for work and can't wait to get back," she said. "I go back to NYC and LA for family and work."
