Bruce Jenner has been named in a wrongful death lawsuit stemming from his Feb. 7 car crash in which another driver, a 69-year-old woman, was killed.

According to details released previously by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, Jenner was behind the wheel of a Cadillac Escalade that was towing an off-road vehicle on Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway when he rear-ended a Lexus being driven by Kimberly Howe. The Lexus spun or veered into oncoming traffic and was hit head-on by a Hummer. Howe died at the scene.

The lawsuit, filed Friday by Howe's two adult stepchildren and obtained by E! News, alleges that the impact of Jenner's SUV "propelled" Howe into the other lane. "The defendants and each of them [the list of defendants included Does 1-50 as a way of possibly involving other parties, such as a product manufacturer] were also otherwise careless, negligent and/or otherwise responsible in causing the death of decedent and damage to her effects," the suit contends. "The death of Kimberly Howe caused plaintiffs to suffer enormous damages."

A rep for Jenner had no comment on the lawsuit. Meanwhile, the Sheriff's Department has reportedly not yet closed its investigation into the accident.

Plaintiffs Dana Redmond and William Howe are demanding a jury trial and unspecified damages. Howe's death, they allege in the suit, caused them to lose "the love, affection, support, comfort, society, financial support and more from [Howe] upon whom they were dependent" and incur other expenses "to their great detriment."

"My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident," Jenner said in a statement the day after the crash. "It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible."

Diane Sawyer clarified during her game-changing interview special with Jenner that their various sit-downs took place before the crash, hence there being no mention of it otherwise.
