You guys, the Justin Bieber fandom is bored.

So, they not only made #CongratsJustinandHailey a trending topic, but they made it seem like TMZ ran a story (they didn't) about Hailey Baldwin posting a photo of her engagement ring from Justin. Bieber fans, you know you can break Twitter if you wanted, but with great power comes great responsibility. And you abused that power!

We didn't dive too deep to get the beginning of the rumor because that's where sane minds go to die, but we think someone fabricated the TMZ ring photo, fans assumed TMZ made up the engagement story and now some Bieber fans are convinced TMZ should die a fiery death while others know it was all a prank from bored Bieber fans. Either way, Justin needs to do something to entertain/distract the fandom beast because we all know that idle hands are the devil's workshop and this is why Beliebers can't have nice things.

Here's how it went down: Of course, before Bieber fans got to the bottom of the rumor, they were losing their minds over the photo of the ring and the trending topic. Some were freaking out because they were happy about the engagement, but most were ready to just set s--t on fire:

Fans were also super confused about the trending topic, because how does one get to the bottom of a rumor like that when everyone else is also confused?

Finally, everything was sorted out and they realized this was all a prank or at the very least just a rumor gone awry, so the fanbase breathed a collective sigh of relief and then began their mockery. Thought a lot of fans believe that TMZ just started this rumor, when they definitely had nothing to do with it:

And thus ends another fandom Twitter saga. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, betrayal and people with way too much time on their hands.

What did we all learn today, kids? Justin Bieber is not engaged, the fandom is bored and no one should let Beliebers have control of Twitter trending topics.
