You're not alone if you were a bit perplexed by Rob Kardashian's latest Instagram—you know, the one where he compared sister Kim Kardashian to Rosamund Pike's psychotic character in Gone Girl.

"This is my sister Kim," the 28-year-old star wrote of an image of Pike as Amy Dunne, covered in blood on the big screen. "The bitch from Gone Girl."

In addition to Rob's eyebrow-raising post, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also deleted all of his Instagram photos and is now only following 30 people (yes, Rob's sisters, as well as Scott Disick and French Montana, made the cut).

So, what happened?! And does this mean Rob and Kim are fighting? Not so fast, Kardashian fans...

"He's just being crazy and he thinks it's funny...," a Kardashian family source tells E! News. "He can just be a little bizarre with his humor."

It's no secret that Rob has been going through his own personal ups and downs, taking a break from the spotlight as he grapples with his weight gain. Last week, the USC grad celebrated his 28th birthday, and big sis Khloé Kardashian, who lives with her younger brother, posted a telling Instagram shot, expressing her love and support for her sibling.

"Never will I ever meet another man as great as you! I know this is the year where you will find your happiness again!" Khloé wrote. "I will be right by your side, holding your hand, every step of the way!!! I adore you my one and only brother!!"

In spite of his sister's encouragement, a second source tells E! News that Rob has been struggling as of late and has lost his motivation to work out and lose weight.

"He just doesn't seem to care right now. He's not motivated," an insider tells E! News, adding "he seems really sad about his weight, but he also isn't trying to do anything about it."

In August, a source told E! News that Rob had teamed up with Khloé to get in shape. "He hates being big, but he gained all that weight from being depressed," the source said. "He wants to lose over 50 pounds."

Rob last resurfaced in December during a rare outing in Los Angeles.

"I want to fix Rob and sometimes you just can't..." Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner said on a past episode of the E! series. "It's the worst feeling in the world when one of your kids isn't in a good place, and I think about it all the time."

She added: "I can't control someone else's behavior. And I've got to learn how to deal with that."
