The Good Wife has been home to many wonderful guest stars—Michael J. Fox, Carrie Preston, Gary Cole, Rita Wilson—but Robert and Michelle King have their sights set on some new big fish. The co-creators told E! News they've been after John Lithgow and really want…wait for it… Amy Poehler.

"John Lithgow," Robert King told us on the red carpet for the show's PaleyFest panel. "I think because we've been soclose like two or three times and it was about scheduling."

Lithgow starred in 3rd Rock From the Sun from 1996-2001. The two-time Oscar nominee picked up his fifth Emmy for his dark turn on Showtime's Dexter. He recently appeared on stage opposite Glenn Close and Good Wife Emmy winner Martha Plimpton. We hope they spoke extensively about The Good Wife while backstage because that's what we would do, obviously.

The Kings also want to take two comedy ladies to the drama side just like they did with Sarah Silverman. "Always Amy Poehler," Robert said. "If she could find the time."

"Tina Fey," Michelle King chimed in.

And James Earl Jones. So basically, everybody mentioned above you should call your agents and get this ball rolling because you know you want to be on The Good Wife.

But what about George Clooney? He is pals with series star Julianna Margulies. But another drama snatched him up. "He did do Downton Abbey, that bastard," Robert joked. "That is really like a betrayal."

Matt Czuchry, Cary Agos to The Good Wife fans, had some other ideas for season seven guest stars and we ain't mad at them. Click the video above to find out!

The Good Wife airs Sundays, 9 p.m. on CBS.
