Murder mysteries, cults and thousand-year-old prophecies, oh my!

USA Network debuted its new series Dig tonight, and viewers were introduced to characters dealing with both personal hardships (like the death of a loved one) along with conspiracies that threatened to bring about the end of days. The series premiere was chock full of action and raised some deep questions that hopefully will be answered by the time the 10-episode season ends.

When E! News caught up with series creators Gideon Raff and Tim Kring before the premiere, they were looking forward to finally sharing the project with viewers after working on it for so long.

"It's a fun ride," Raff says. "It's an archeological thriller, and we had a marvelous time doing it together. We're really excited about presenting it to the world. It's been a crazy journey."

Check out our full interview with Raff and Kring above now to find out what else is coming up this season!

And now that you've seen the series premiere, it's time to weigh in...are you digging Dig? (Sorry, we just had to!)
