Defenseless damsel in distress no more!

When Outlander returns for the second half of its hit first season, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) is no longer the lost woman out of her time that she was when she accidentally hurtled back in time. Though she still hasn't found a way home to her own time and her husband Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies), she's making a new home for herself in 17th century Scotland with her new husband, Highlander hunk Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan).

Though the past has certainly come with its own complications, namely Frank's nasty ancestor Black Jack Randall (also played by Menzies), and he's developed an unfortunate obsession with hurting both Jamie and Claire.

And that's why we're digging the new poster for the back half of season one of Starz's hit series, because Claire is fighting back!

While the previous official key art for Outlander featured Claire, looking afraid, reaching out to her husband's hand with Jamie reaching for her behind her, the new posters have a few subtle changes that completely change the story. The new poster still features Claire in between Jamie and a man who looks like her old husband, but this time it's actually Black Jack reaching out for her, holding his sword up, ready to attack. And instead of Claire reaching out for him, she's got her dagger extended to defend herself!

We are so here for fierce Claire!

"The second part of the season, the action's really going to ramp up. It gets very intense, gets a little dark," Balfe tells E! News. "Both our characters go through some really rough stuff, but it's exciting and I think everyone's gonna love it."

And Heughan adds, "There's a lot there for the fans as well. The culmination of this season. It's a really exciting place where we leave it."

Outlander returns April 4 at 9 p.m. on Starz.
