Insider tells E! News boyfriend David Gardner was also spotted wearing a band on his ring finger

Could Liv Tyler also be celebrating something other than the birth of her newborn son?

The actress, who welcomed her second baby boy earlier this month, stepped out alongside boyfriend David Gardner in New York City earlier today and we couldn't help but notice that the brunette beauty was wearing one especially interesting accessory—a ring on that finger.

The pair, who were each bundled up in big coats, went to visit their newborn Sailor Gene Gardner this morning at the hospital. "Liv looked good, but she and Dave looked like concerned parents," an eyewitness tells E! News. "Dave was very comforting towards Liv."

The insider also adds that Gardner seemed to wearing a band on that finger, as well. Interesting, wouldn't you say?

Regardless of whether these two are planning to walk down the aisle sometime soon, it's very clear that their current focus is all on the well-being of their baby boy.

The new arrival, who entered the world on Feb. 11, is her first child with her beau. Their little cutie joins Tyler's son and older half-brother, Milo, 10, in the family fold.

Sailor actually arrived six weeks early, a rep for Tyler confirming to E! News, "He's healthy but early and will be in hospital for a while. She'd appreciate privacy until she can bring him home."
