Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson Ross are both creative people—but they're fine with being not quite as creative as some when it comes to naming children.

"We got a few ideas but we're keeping that for us," Evan said on The Wendy Williams Show Thursday when asked if he and Ashlee had any names in mind already for the daughter they're expecting together this year.

"It's not going to be Apple or Orange or anything like that," he added. "It's going to be different though."

E! News was first to report in December that the couple were expecting. Their baby girl will join big half-brother Bronx, Ashlee's 6-year-old son with ex Pete Wentz, in the family fold.

Evan also sweetly described what it's been like having Bronx in his life as well, telling Wendy, "It's amazing. I can't even tell you how incredible that child is. He's been a blessing in my life and I've learned so much from him."

When he and Ashlee got married last August, Evan continued, Bronx "was excited. He's my friend—we became, like, homies. He was so excited we got married. He was at the wedding, I was like 'This is just as much your wedding as ours.' And he loves Mama D."

"Mama D" being, of course, Evan's mother, Diana Ross. The iconic singer actually officiated at her son's wedding, which was held at her estate in Connecticut, and performed.

"She's incredible," Evan gushed about his mom. "The whole thing, her and Ashlee's mom, Tina, pretty much did the whole thing together. It was unbelievable. We had no idea she was going to perform. She told us, 'Stop telling people I might perform'. She sang just to us two and it was really amazing..She did cry—when she was marrying us she cried."

Um, swoon, anyone? Sounds as though Ashlee has found herself one heck of a family man. Congratulations again to the whole family!
