Sporting a bold, colorful leopard print top, blue-tinted glasses and her signature smile, Meryl Streep joined more than 50 top women in Hollywood, including several fellow female 2015 Oscar nominees, at a pre-Oscars luncheon at the Beverly Hills home of top designer Diane von Furstenberg on Wednesday.

Streep, a three-time Oscar winner, is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as the witch in the film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical Into the Woods, which marks the veteran actress' 19th Academy Award nomination. At the event, both she and the designer played fairy tale-like roles.

"Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike arrived with baby Atom in tow only for fellow nominee Meryl Streep to swoop him up in her arms and fawn over him along with Diane," DVF Style Editor Jessica Joffe wrote in a blog post on DVF.com on Thursday. "With fairy godmothers like that, who needs blood relatives?!"

Pike, who gave birth to her son about two months ago, is nominated for an Oscar for her leading role in Gone Girl.

At the luncheon, they were joined by Best Actress contender Reese Witherspoon, who sported a white, textured mini dress. She is nominated for Best Actress for Wild and was seen together at the event with Watchmen star Malin Akerman.

"The camaraderie between the women, but particularly the nominees, was palpable and only grew when Diane took to the microphone, reminding everyone in the room that solidarity breeds strength, that gratitude and humility for ones gifts is a daily practice," Joffe said in her blog post, adding, "Of course Diane could not resist singling out Meryl Streep for her extraordinary and unparalleled contribution to film, so Meryl responded by reminding all of us what an extraordinary contribution Diane has made to womankind by building up the Vital Voices network and its Women in the World Conference.

'You put your money where your mouth is!' Joffe quoted Streep as saying, adding that the actress "went on to say how pleased she was to be in one room with so much female talent but that next year she wanted to see 'the entire grounds covered in nominees!'"

Also spotted at the luncheon: Ava DuVernay, director of the Best Picture-nominated movie Selma, Robert Downey Jr.'s wife, producer Susan Downey and actress Julie Delpy, who wore a DVF chain-linked wrap dress.

The 2015 Oscars will air live on ABC on Sunday, Feb. 22.
