Lance Armstrong has admitted to being in the wrong. Again.

This time, however, his admittance comes after it came to light that his girlfriend admitted that the former cycling champion was the one who hit two parked cars while they were on their way home from a party in December—and that she wasn't behind the wheel, as she first told police.

E! News confirms that Armstrong pleaded guilty to careless driving, a second-degree traffic offense, on Feb. 13. He was fined $283 and the Pitikin County Court now considers the case closed.

The Aspen Daily News was first to report, going from the Aspen Police's report on the Dec. 28 incident, that Armstrong's girlfriend, Anna Hansen, told police that she was driving on the night in question, saying that her boyfriend had had a "little bit" to drink and the accident occurred because she was driving too fast for the frosty conditions and lost control going around a "snowy corner."

Also per the incident report, later obtained by E! News, Hansen came clean in an interview with police on Dec. 31, saying, "We've had our family name smeared over every paper in the world in the last couple of years and honestly, I've got teenagers, I just wanted to protect my family."

Armstrong has not released any statement on the matter. He and Hansen have two children together and he has five over all.
