Ah, the 2015 Grammys red carpet: Where boob-baring get-ups, cupcake couture gowns and hair-raising braids can all come together in the name of music.

Our favorite looks of the night were decidedly the most simple: Sleek jumpsuits, high-low hems and sexy cut-out gowns all made the cut for best dressed. But in the most ubiquitous arena, we noticed glittery glam, sheer confections and undone lobs as rulers on the carpet. Read on for our top trend picks below!

Ultra-Embellished Metallic Gowns: The first trend on our radar was the most eye-catching, natch: Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian lit up the red carpet in glittery metallic gowns, although each of the ladies wore slightly different variations of the look. Kim's Jean Paul Gaultier number was high-slit and low-cut, while Katy sported a long-sleeve (and slightly see-through) Zuhair Murad confection.

Mother Monster wowed in a plunging Brandon Maxwell dress—a silvery sequin look akin to Rita's more covered up (and custom) Prada gown.

Cleavage-Baring Dresses: As if you didn't already know, the Grammys red carpet was all about the boob, ladies and gents. Madonna made a jaw-unhinging appearance in a Givenchy number that put her cleavage and derrière on display, although she might not have meant to give us a glimpse of the latter. Nicki Minaj and Ashanti also let their globes do the talking in striking, slit-to-there black dresses.

Beachy Long Bobs: ICYMI: 2015 is already the year of the lob (and pretty close to where we left off from 2014's bob season). Katy Perry (who debuted light lavender locks on the red carpet), Kim Kardashian and Miranda Lambert all sported sexy, tousled versions of the look.

Green Statement Jewels: We're seeing green—literally: From Beyoncé's emerald Lorraine Schwartz chandelier earrings, to Gaga's plunging pendant necklace (also Lorraine Schwartz) and Taylor Swift's two-tone studs, green jewelry made a stunning statement on the red carpet. We loved how spring-ready these baubles are, too.

Sheer Black Skirts: Wouldn't be the Grammys without some sexy leggy looks, right? Black ruled the red carpet, but especially in this gam-glorifying manisfestation. Beyoncé's black tulle Proenza Schouler confection gave us just the right amount of skin, while Meghan Trainor and Jessie J both turned heads in gowns with leg-baring sheer skirts.
