Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have led a quiet life together—and they have just as quietly gone their separate ways.

The singers have split up after nearly six years of marriage, E! News confirms.

"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years," reps for the duo said in a joint statement. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

Moore, 30, and Adams, 40, do not have any children together. They tied the knot on March 10, 2009, in Savannah, Ga.

The breakup comes not long after Moore told us that she was working on new music and that her alt-country-rocker hubby would be collaborating.

"Life, life is inspiring what I'm writing about and I don't know exactly what it's going to sound like quiet yet," she told E! News at the Red Band Society premiere in November, "but...I'm going to work with my husband on it and make it at his studio so his influence will be all over it."

Adams' tune "Gimme Something Good," off of his self-titled 14th studio album, scored a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song.

Radar reported earlier this evening that Moore has filed for divorce.

She and Adams kept a tight lid on their relationship throughout, Moore telling People in 2010 that they were "big homebodies. We never want to leave [the house]."

But overall, she said, "I feel very supported and loved and at peace. My life has reached this really beautiful point where I can sort of look around and go, 'Wow. I'm so lucky.' I got my own little happy ending.'"

And that was all she spoke.

Asked about his wife this past September during a call-in interview with an Australian radio show, Adams said, "I just don't share at all about my personal life."

When pressed, he hung up.
