In order to have a truly stellar Instagram profile, one needs very strict rules. No non-ironic #hashtags. No clogging the feed. Delete all photos that don't get enough likes to show a numeral.

But when it comes to the actual quality and content of your photos, things get a little trickier. You can't just be throwing up tired sunset shots from your daily commute and expect to advance on social media (or in life!). To truly take yourself to the next level you need consulting from a true master. And so, as with any time we're looking for answers to the Big Questions, we light our Kardashian Kandles, turn on Yeezy, and pray to the altar of Kylie Jenner.

In the past few months, the youngest (and sassiest) sister has emerged as a genuine Insta-star. With 17 million followers and counting, her 'gram profile holds the secret to success. We should all aspire for even a fraction of her social media prowess. Emulation may seem an impossible feat without things like professional makeup artists and famous friends to attract Insta-attention, but if you let this discourage you it just means you don't want Insta-perfection enough.

We spent hours scouring every last 'gram and came up with 10 tips that will help you up your game. Konsider them your most important Kommandments. Following these rules won't be easy, but everything comes with a price.

1. Enlist a friend to follow you around with a camera. You need to figure prominently in your feed, but the pictures can't all be #célfies.

2. Change your hair at least thrice weekly. You want to keep your audience guessing.

4. The secret to a perfect candid is to act as if you're totally shocked to see a camera. This effect is improved if you can enlist your friends, or "clique."

5. Make sure you remember to forget pants occasionally. It's harder than it sounds.

8. Be mysterious in your captions. (This picture was titled "surprise little commercial.") Let's not give away the farm about everything you're doing.

9. Stay humble! Sure, your life is full of glamour, but you want to remind your followers that you are also a totes normal person who, like, runs errands.
