Amanda Bynes hasn't steered completely clear of legal trouble yet, but she has one less thing to worry about.

The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office has opted not to press charges against the actress in connection with her arrest on suspicion of DUI last September. However, "after much deliberation and review," her case is being forwarded along to the L.A. County District Attorney's Office as a possible violation of Bynes' probation, City Attorney's Office spokesman Frank Mateljan told E! News Thursday.

"As you know, she is currently on probation to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for a 2012 DUI out of Beverly Hills," Mateljan said. "The matter was referred yesterday. No further action [in our office] is scheduled on this matter."

Bynes' attorney had no comment on the decision.

Meanwhile, Bynes is mainly keeping herself off the radar these days, checking in with the public every once in a while via Twitter.

She last popped up Jan. 13 with a new selfie.

Her arrest in the wee hours of the morning of Sept. 28, 2014, came as a bit of a shock after it seemed that her life was back on track after a series of odd legal and social-media issues in 2012 and 2013. Bynes got her driver's license back last April after a year and a half suspension following her failure to show up for a number of court dates to address traffic tickets.

Last February, Bynes pleaded no contest to DUI for her 2012 bust and was sentenced to three years' probation; at the time, she was already on probation for driving with a suspended license.

The What I Like About You star completed a year of study at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising's Orange County campus but was spotted last month touring the University of Southern California campus, after which she tweeted that she intended to transfer to USC full-time.
