It's official: Mariah Carey is taking over Sin City!

The "Obsessed" singer got teary-eyed as she confirmed her residency at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas Thursday. "I'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars. This is a special event for me," Carey said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "And again, I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this cause I'm gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album Number 1's, and this is now the updated version with 18 of them. Hopefully other people will enjoy this. I've never done this before."

"Some of these songs I'm like, 'Really? I'm gonna do this again? OK,'" Carey admitted.

Ellen DeGeneres revealed that five-time Grammy Award winner will perform smashes like "We Belong Together," "Visions of Love," "Emotions," "Fantasy," "Dream Lover," and "One Sweet Day," and the diva announced that she will also perform "Don't Forget About Us" and "Touch My Body," among other hits.

"It's a new chapter for me, and I'm so excited," Carey said.

"As a consummate songwriter, producer and internationally-renowned performer with a remarkable string of number one hits, Mariah brings a unique presence to Las Vegas that speaks to so many fans across the globe," John Nelson, Sr. Vice President of AEG Live, Las Vegas, told E! News in a statement. "AEG Live and Caesars Palace are honored to be part of this collaboration and proudly welcome Mariah to her new residence at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, home of the greatest entertainers in the world."

The residency begins on May 6, 2015. Tickets to the first 18 performances in 2015 are on-sale now:

May: 6, 9, 10, 13, 16, 17, 20, 23, 24

July 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25, 26

Last weekend, Carey went to Caesar's Palace to surprise a bunch of fans.

As Carey's "lambs" told a camera crew how much they adored her music, the singer—dressed in a sexy maid costume—entered the room and pretended to clean. The fans' reactions, of course, were priceless.

What about the other divas in Las Vegas?

Céline Dion is scheduled to return to The Colosseum in March but, according to TMZ, she's pushing back her engagements to look after her ailing husband, René Angélil. Her reps have not confirmed the report.

Britney Spears' "Piece of Me" concert at Planet Hollywood, meanwhile, was extended through 2017.
