Duchess Sarah Ferguson is getting candid about the late Princess Diana, with whom she was very close before the beloved royal's untimely death in 1997.
During an appearance on The Meredith Vieira Show, Prince Andrew's former wife opened up about the royal baby-on-the-way and Prince George's future sibling (in case you haven't heard, Kate Middleton is pregnant with baby No. 2!), while sharing what kind of grandmother she believes Prince William and Harry's mum would have been.
"I believe in love," the 55-year-old duchess said when asked how she thinks Kate Middleton is handling her life as a royal. "I believe in just that goodness of love and I think they are a beautiful example of a great family."
She went on to gush over the couple's 17-month old son, whom she said the two are "totally in love with," adding that the "delicious little George, so squishy, you know you want to eat him."
Couldn't have said it better, Sarah, all we want to do is squeeze those chubby little cheeks!
The 55-year-old royal went on to clear up a few rumors after Vieira told her that there have been reports claiming the royal baby-to-be is a girl, and the couple plans to name her Diana.
"Um, no," she said before clarifying. "I have not heard that."
As for what Princess Diana would have been like as a grandmother?
"She would have just been the naughtiest, funniest and the best ever, just because she loved her boys so much and she would be so proud of all of them and what they've achieve," she said with a beaming smile before gushing over Will, Kate and Harry. "They really are extraordinary boys and Catherine is incredible. I just think it is all goodness and we need to hear more about goodness and Diana would have loved that."
