Solange Knowles Gets Hit With a Tax Lien but Isn't "Too Worried"—Find Out Why!

Solange Knowles' honeymoon happiness might have just ended.

The taxman has slapped her with a $55,000 tax lien from the state of California. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter reportedly failed to pay her taxes from 2010-2012. But a rep for her tells E! News that it was all just a misunderstanding.

"The lien is in process of being removed as there was simply confusion on whether Solange was a California resident. We expect this to come to a swift close," her rep says.

The lien was filed only three days after she tied the knot to her longtime boyfriend, Alan Ferguson. That's definitely not the way you want to celebrate your honeymoon! Based on Solange's Twitter profile, however, it seems like she didn't really know what was going on with the lien.

A source close to the singer also tells E! News that this situation will soon become water under the bridge, as she is already taking care of the problem.

"Solange wasn't too worried," the insider tells us. "She's on top of stuff and has always been financially responsible."

Rumors of money troubles have surrounded the happy couple as of late, most recently with a false report that Beyoncé paid for Solange and Alan's honeymoon as an apology for the infamous elevator fight! But a rep for her quickly cleared the air and confirmed that her sister didn't pay for their vacation.

"Reports that Beyoncé paid for Solange's honeymoon with Alan Ferguson are false. There is no truth to this. Solange and Alan paid for their honeymoon themselves. They did not receive any compensation of any kind," Solange's rep told E! News.

Solange and Alan wed in New Orleans in front of about 200 friends and family, including brother-in-law Jay Z and pal Questlove.

"I had the best day of my life and ended it with an abundance of peace, love over flowing through me like never before," the twice-married star gushed on Instagram. "Words only understate the feelings I experienced, but I want to thank you for all of your beautiful sentiments. I'm now one, with the one."
