Demi Lovato is one beautiful human being.

The celeb took a risk recently by opting to go against the trend and pose with barely any makeup on for a photo shoot with Allure magazine, and the images that came out of it are absolutely stunning. The singer-actress ditched any form of foundation or face makeup and instead relied only on some mascara and lip gloss for her edgy photo-op.

"We wanted today to be super natural, show my skin, show my freckles," Lovato explained in a behind-the-scenes video clip. "I do have a regimen and I stick to it. No matter how tired I am, I always take my makeup off before I go to sleep, I always wash my face, use a toner, sometimes a serum if I need some extra love. Then I wear a really thick night cream. I just listen to my skin."

And her strict skincare regimen, which clearly seems to be paying off, helped inspire the star to build her own line of skincare products called Devonne by Demi. "I wanted to create my dream products," she shares with the mag, and also noted that she feels sexiest when she goes bare.

"What makes me feel sexy is being able to rock no makeup wherever I go," Demi says in the clip, and also gave a shout-out to her curves (one in particular) and one popular name in the industry who helped change the game when it came to body ideals. "Also, wearing pants that showcase my beautiful assets. It's my butt. I love my butt. Hopefully it stays that way, cause this ain't going anywhere.

"I really started to accept my body when the trend started becoming less about super skinny models that was completely unattainable for anybody to have. Kim Kardashian, say whatever you want about her, but she has revolutionized what's accepted with curves nowadays."

Demi has openly struggled with body image issues in the past, but tells the magazine, "I'm getting more confidence in my body. As I've gotten older, I'm fine showing my cleavage. And tight-fitting stuff is fine, but short shorts, short skirts, short dresses—nobody's ever comfortable in that. If you are, then you probably live on a beach, and all you wear is a bikini."

The January issue of Allure hits newsstands Dec. 23.
