Watch: Janel Parrish Talks "Pretty Little Liars" Christmas Special!

Halloween is so 2013.

Rosewood has taken the year off from the spooky holiday as Pretty Little Liars decided to buck tradition and air a Christmas special rather than their annual Halloween haunting, and judging from the girls' glam get-ups alone (We want Paige's tuxedo pants, like, yesterday!), we're oh-so-glad they did.

But it won't be all Christmas cheer and cute costumes as the mystery surrounding Mona's (Janel Parrish) shocking death last season will be at the center of the ABC Family hit's holiday episode, airing tonight at 8 p.m.

It's a dream sequence episode, but there's also a lot of really important things that happen in the episode," Parrish tells E! News. "Mona, actually before she died, leaves clues for Hanna to follow to find out who murdered her. The girls will be trying to figure out what exactly happened to Mona all the while having an amazingly creepy and fun holiday special."

Creepy and fun, two things Pretty Little Liars does very well.

And don't worry Mona fans, we will still be seeing her on the show...as a ghost!

"Alison steps into a dream world I get to play the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, in excellent costume, I might add," Parrish teases, adding that the "the future for Alison is a little creepy."

But will Spencer's (Troian Bellisario) name be cleared in Bethany's murder case? "That's definitely a big part of the episode and that has to do with some of the clues Mona leaves for Hanna," Parrish spills.

Pretty Little Liars airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
