Oscar-winning actress Renée Zellweger stepped out one day before Thanksgiving where she couldn't help but turn heads with her appearance.
Instead of showing off her signature blond hair, the actress was seen walking around with a brunette wig on. But before those "Renée Is Unrecognizable" headlines appear across the web, we have a reason for the new look!
As it turns out, Zellweger is hard at work filming her new movie Same Kind of Different as Me in Jackson, Miss.
In the upcoming film, the actress plays the wife of a wealthy art dealer who sparks an unlikely friendship between her husband and a sharecropper turned drifter. The project is based on the nonfiction book by Ron Hall and Denver Moore.
Zellweger's new look comes just a few weeks after the actress sparked plenty of conversation with her rare red carpet appearance.
While some were quick to judge the actress' look, the 45-year-old wasn't willing to remain silent on the conversation.
"I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows," she told People. "It seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn't exist won't get off my porch until I answer the door."
She added, "Perhaps I look different. Who doesn't as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I'm happy."
