Ashley Benson is cleaning out her closets.
OK, maybe more like cleaning up her closet.s
The Pretty Little Liars star recently got her two clothing closets in order with the help of her stylist Jamie Schneider and luxury consignment shopping website ShopHers.
"We really defined what Ashley's style is and should be and got rid of anything that did not fall within those guidelines," Jamie says. "Beginning a closet clean out with a clear strategy and vision for you style is key and can keep you from agonizing over whether to keep, toss or sell every item."
One of the first tasks was digging through Ashley's collection of denim.
"This girl had a lot of jeans," Jamie said. "We got rid of any denim that wasn't comfortable or had a perfect fit. No one wants to wear a pair of ill-fitting jeans.
They also tossed anything with crazy logos and sayings, aside from mementos saved from Ashley's movies and television projects.
"We went through staples such as leathers, blzers, white t-shirts and made a list of what staples Ashley was missing, like a great pair of black high-wasted pants," Jamie said. "Staples should always be the items you pay a little more of a premium on so go for the beautifully well made leather designer jacket but purchase it on a site llike ShopHers so you're snagging it for an accessible price."
Color is key, says Jamie.
"I color coordinated everything in the closets as it makes it so much easier to find things and put together outfits," she said. "Hundreds of closets later and this is still the best wau to organize. It gives you a simple system so you're not rummaging through your whole closet for that one top you remember having."
Even bags and accessories are color coordinated. "Ashley has a great bag and sunglass collection," Jamie said. "We were able to clean out and donate a few contemporary pieces she hadn't worn in years."
Ashley gushed that Jamie has made it "easier to find things and put together outfits."
In the end, Ashley and Jamie donated a whopping 25 trash bags filled with clothes, shoes and accessories to Goodwill.
While browsing through ShopHers, Ashley picked up a Chanel top and Isabel Marant skirt that shows off her great legs.
We're sure Jamie found just the right place for them in her closet.
