While George Clooney may now be a married man, that certainly doesn't make the actor any less swoon-worthy!
Case in point? The actor, who, at the time, was engaged to wife Amal Clooney, filmed at Downton Abbey in September, and according to Downton Abbey's Allen Leech, the female crew members were flocking to set!
"I'll put it this way: I've never seen so many female crew members arrive and be on set when they weren't actually supposed to be. It was very interesting," the 33-year-old actor told E! News with a laugh at the Los Angeles premiere of The Imitation Game.
E! News previously reported that Clooney will guest-star in a Downton Abbey sketch scene for ITV's Christmas charity initiative "Text Santa," which will be set in Highclere Castle, the setting for Downton Abbey.
"He was such a lovely man," Leech continued, singing the A-lister's praises. "So intelligent, so articulate as well about not only acting but also world affairs"
The Grand Piano star added of the Oscar winner: "A great man, and a brilliant actor and a brilliant director and it was just so much fun and he had a blast."
While the project, which has already been shot, is a standalone film to support the charity (Clooney is not expected to appear in the upcoming season of Downton Abbey, nor will he be seen in the Christmas special), we still can't help but get a little giddy when we picture the ER alum in a 1920s-style tux.
"It was great," Leech said of Clooney's guest spot. "And I don't want to spoil it but it's very very funny, I've seen it and the interactions that George has with everyone in the cast are hilarious, so I think everyone will enjoy it and it will be a real treat and it was great of him to come in and do something like that for us."
"He had to work very hard," Leech added with a hearty laugh. "I've never seen someone being chased by so many paparazzi leaving the set of Downton Abbey!"
We bet!
