After you dry your tears and your heartbeat returns to a normal speed, read on for more scoop on this week's "dark" and "disturbing" episode of the CW's hit post-apocalyptic show.
While we know that the Mountain Men are up to no good in Mount Weather, Jasper (Devon Bostick), Monty (Christopher Larkin) and the other 45 teens from the sky crew currently living in the underground base have no clue what's going on behind closed doors on The 100. In their case, ignorance won't equal bliss.
And now that Clarke (Eliza Taylor) found her way out of Mount Weather and is back at Camp Jaha with the rest of the Arkers, the 47 have no one motivating them to look past the lies they've been told.
Hey, when you have all the chocolate cake you could want and a new love interest and no one's throwing spears through your gut, can you really blame Jasper for relaxing and trusting the Mountain Men?
"He needs to stop eating cake and drinking the kool-aid!" Bostick told E! News with a laugh. "It's an interesting switch for him since the season one finale, sure, but he's changed a lot. In the pilot he was this happy-go-lucky guy and then he got speared and his whole world was turned upside down. He was afraid of everything, but then he found courage again and became a warrior. But after war, it's time for peace and love, and that's been handed to him on a silver platter. It would be hard to turn that down. He's been told a bunch of lies but it's hard to detect that when you've already been through such horrors."
Plus, he's even found himself a new crush...and this one won't run off with a Grounder since she can't survive outside Mount Weather without a Haz-Mat suit!
"Jasper and Maya's [Eve Harlow] relationship is going to continue to blossom," Bostick said. "It's interesting because we're finding out some pretty horrific things about her people. But she's been so nice and kind and in this next episode we're going to see how much he really cares about her."
And as frustrating as it has been watching Jasper and Monty just take Maya's word that Clarke is merely in the medical wing because "she just lost it," Bostick promised that the dynamic duo is finally going to start questioning where their absent leader is.
"Monty and Jasper are going to start wondering where the hell Clarke is since she's been gone for a couple days now. They're certainly worried and curious about that and they're going to confront that missing part in their life," Bostick said. "They have a lot of questions and they're going to have to confront President Wallace [Raymond J. Barry] about that. They're going to rely on Maya as well, but it's hard to know who to trust. They're just doing what they can with what little information they have about this world."
But Jasper is going to have a lot more on his mind in the next episode than just Clarke's whereabouts, since he's going to find himself volunteering for a mysterious "experiment" in Mount Weather. Yeah, that does not sound promising.
"There's going to be a lot of Mount Weather madness coming up. Things are about become unraveled and there's some crazy experiments going on," Bostick said. "It's a life and death situation and there's a lot of stakes involved. If Jasper doesn't do the experiment, something bad could happen. But I don't want to spoil anything!"
Do these mysterious experiments have anything to do with the Harvest and Cerberus projects the Mountain Men are conducting with captured Grounders like Lincoln (Ricky Whittle)?
"I'm not going to deny or confirm that!" Bostick said with a laugh. "I'll leave that open to your imagination because I don't want to ruin anything. All I can say is that it's scary and it's exciting. There's going be blood involved. Obviously."
Um, blood? What?! Should we be worried that Jasper is going to be The 100's next shocking and heartbreaking casualty?!
"Definitely! You should be worried for everyone," Bostick said. "Literally everyone. I can't say who, and I know we have a lot of redshirts, but there will be some really shocking deaths this season. It's scary as an actor. There's going to be more deaths and it will be heartbreaking and just insane. I'm kind of worried for the fans. Don't get attached to any character because things are going to go down."
Yikes. It's probably best to heed his warning, The 100 fans.
