Attention, Jelena fans: Justin Bieber is not dating Kendall Jenner

Speculation has been running rampant that the 20-year-old pop star and the 19-year-old model have recently coupled up as the two have been spotted spending ample time together as of late, yet Jenner opted to set the record straight when she was asked about the romance rumors during an appearance on Nightline

"He's a longtime friend of our family," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said of the "Baby" crooner, laughing at the fabricated reports. "Everybody loves to assume things, but no."

As for whether she's in a relationship?

"I'm not," she revealed. "I'm truly focusing on my career. If it comes it comes."

Jenner has undoubtedly been focusing on a career which continues to flourish—she was most recently named the new face of Estee Lauder and has even been dubbed the "model of the moment" by Vogue magazine. Earlier this year, she also dropped her last name professionally in an effort to distance herself from her famous family, even asking her older sister Kim Kardashian not to attend her early fashion shows.

"It was more of a mutual understanding," the model said, insisting she never "banned" Kim from attending her shows. "I think that if my sister was sitting front row and my sister is who she is, I know this sounds kind of weird but it would have almost taken the attention away from what I'm trying to do on my own."

"I'm not trying to use a family name or anything," Jenner explained. "In reality I worked pretty hard for this… It wasn't like I just got it magically and it just happened."

While the young star continues to make her mark in the modeling industry, she has received some criticism for her decision to participate in nude high-fashion shoots, and she most certainly raised some eyebrows when she rocked the Marc Jacobs runway in February at New York Fashion Week while wearing a sheer top which put her nipples on full display.

Despite the backlash, Jenner refuses to let the criticism faze her and insists she's proud of what she's accomplished.

"Who's going to argue with Marc Jacobs when he's putting you in an outfit, you know what I mean?" she said. "It was an amazing moment. And I do not regret it."
