HBOIn case you didn't hear, the reaction to the season two premiere of The Comeback was...not good.
It was the best ever! No, really, and we have indisputable scientific proof: A whopping 97 percent of you loved it, making it the highest ranking return of any canceled TV show of all time.

Episode two of The Comeback airs this Sunday on HBO, and the laughs are only getting bigger as the season goes on. So we're already asking: Can we have more, please?!
It took nine years to get The Comeback back, and HBO will run a total of 8 episodes (with the final episode supersized up to an hour). But with HBO also launching a new standalone streaming service in 2015, there has to be room for more The Comeback, and hey, how about some new Sex and the City while we're at it?
Sex and the City boss and The Comeback co-creator Michael Patrick King seems game for more, but points out that so much is unknown in the new era of television. "With the new streaming service, all bets are off," King tells me. "There's a chance [for more of The Comeback and Sex and the City], but I have no idea what the streaming world will be like. Look, television's like the Wild West now. People are shooting guns off like, 'Pop! Pop! Pop! I'm on the Planter's Peanut channel!' It's so crazy how many different ways you can play this game. Right now, I'm still editing the Comeback finale. I'm still worrying and working on the last version of this incarnation of The Comeback. We just wanted to make sure we told that part well, and sure, we'd love to do more, but we have not dared to think about it yet. And as far as Sex and the City goes, the mere fact that it is still so alive, and not just on the gym TV's, not just on the Precor, but that people are still wondering about these girls, you never know. It could come back at some point. All bets are off."
King also says he's intrigued by the idea of releasing more Comeback episodes, or another Sex and the City run on TV, via HBO's new streaming service in a binge-watch batch, a la Netflix. (I know...Now we're just talking dirty, but a TV fan can dream!) HBO has said that the new service will be exclusively over the internet and will be "over-the-top." #Exciting.
"If the arcs are full and you feel like you went somewhere," King says, "then [the binge-watch model] can really work. I mean, you watch a whole season of Orange is the New Black, and you're getting something. I think people will stop streaming or being interesting in it if it's just six episodes that mean nothing. If they actually have a solid ‘what's happening next' push, and if there's an arc within them, I think people do get really hooked on them. So it's an exciting time to be in television, because no one really knows where this is all going to land. It's great for the viewers, I think."
