It's official!

As E! News exclusively reported Tuesday, Britney Spears is dating Charlie Ebersol. The "Perfume" singer confirmed the news herself during Britney Day in Las Vegas Wednesday, saying, "Yes, there is a special someone." Pressed for more details about her relationship with Ebersol, she told Extra, "It's very new."

Spears may not be ready to dish on her dude, but no matter. As E! News previously revealed, the couple met through friends. "He is the sweetest guy ever and they are very much enjoying getting to know one another," a source said of Ebersol, 31, and Spears, 32. "They are both very happy and having fun. It's just the beginning so no idea if it will become serious but right now they are having a lot of fun together."

So, what's Spears' idea of a perfect first date? "The perfect first date is going to the beach and having a picnic and going home and watching a really cool movie and then a great first kiss," she told E! News last month.

Sounds like Ebersol better pack his beach bag!

Ebersol has been romantically linked to Sophia Bush and Maria Sharapova in the past, while Spears ended her romance with David Lucado two months ago. During a Las Vegas concerts, Spears confirmed that Lucado had strayed, telling her fans, "By now, everyone knows that my boyfriend cheated on me."

The "Womanizer" singer began dating Lucado in 2013, shortly after calling off her engagement to Jason Trawick. Prior to that, Spears was married to Jason Alexander for 55 hours. The pop star was also Kevin Federline's wife for several years. They share custody of sons Preston Federline, 9, and Jayden Federline, 8.

As far as her career is concerned, Spears still holds the record for best first week album sales for a female artist, though her album Oops!...I Did It Again's feat was nearly beaten by Taylor Swift's 1989. "I had no idea that that was even the case, so that's really cool," Spears told Extra. "It's really phenomenal.

"I'll just have to toot my own horn," the singer added.
