The good news? In the next episode of True Tori, married couple Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott share a sweet moment with no bickering over baked potatoes. The bad news? The actress is seen crying again. Why? It's complicated.

The 41-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 alum and reality star said in last week's episode that she wants to meet with her ex-husband, actor Charlie Shahnaian, who she hasn't seen in eight years. Naturally, McDermott, 47, wasn't exactly thrilled about this.

A sneak peek clip from the upcoming Nov. 4 episode of season two of the Lifetime Television docu-series shows Spelling driving back home and crying after the meetup and then having a tearful but civil conversation about it with her husband, with whom she shares four children.

"He's a good man," Spelling says about her ex, sobbing as she drives. "He's forgiven me."

She and McDermott began their romance while they were married to other peopleTrue Tori, which premiered in April, has documented their attempts to keep their marriage afloat amid personal turmoil, including McDermott's more recent second affair.

The clip shows that when Spelling gets home, she approaches McDermott, who is relaxing on their bed near one of their dogs.

"I guess I feel, like, lost," she says, crying and dabbing her eyes with a tissue. "It felt like family, or something…When I left, I just suddenly felt really alone and I don't know why."

Spelling and Shahnaian wed in 2004 and separated 15 months later. They had no children together. He had told GQ magazine that he learned at that time that she was cheating on him by reading a story in a tabloid. She broke up with him at a therapist's office. He filed for divorce in October 2005.

McDermott and Spelling fell in love while filming the TV movie Mind Over Murder the previous summer in his native Canada, while he was still married to his first wife of 12 years, Mary Jo Eustace, with whom he shares a son. He divorced her several months later. McDermott and Spelling wed in May 2006. Last year, it was revealed that he had had an affair with a Canadian woman.

On last week's episode of True Tori, Spelling broke down in tears while talking to her husband about the couple's financial troubles and reminisces about her relationship with her ex, even showing the bouquet she had carried at their wedding, now preserved among dozens of items she hoards. She said she "has regrets" and feels "shame" about the way she ended her first marriage.

"I need to see Charlie and properly have closure to that relationship," Spelling had said in last week's True Tori episode, adding that such a move would "further" the one she has with McDermott.

She asked him what he thinks about the idea of her reaching out to her ex, to which her husband responded, "I'd be scared."

"Hey, you told me what a great guy he is, very nurturing and caring," McDermott said. "And I know that, you know, I'm not the greatest at it."
