Is Adrianne Palicki's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Costume Better or Worse Than Her Wonder Woman Disaster?

Adrianne Palicki is no stranger to superheroes, but has she ever looked this badass in a comic-inspired costume before? The Friday Night Lights veteran played Wonder Woman in NBC's 2011 ill-fated pilot about the iconic DC Comics character, but the project never made it to series despite plenty of headlines over the costume with its strange-looking pants.

Now Palicki is playing a new breed of a hero, a S.H.I.E.L.D. spy, on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and she's got the appropriate new duds to go with the kick-butt role of Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird.

Still, Palicki looks back at her time as Wonder Woman fondly. Although we can't help but think she kind of lucked out…at least where superhero outfits are considered.

Palicki made her debut in the Tuesday, Oct. 21 episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and returns in the Oct. 28 episode with her brand new look, which is very reminiscent of the character's comic book costume. And for good reason, costume designer Ann Foley said she dove into the characters' comic history.

"I looked at all of her comic appearances and really wanted to try to bring elements of the look from the comics into the costume that we're doing now for the show because I know it's important to the fans," Foley told Marvel.com "It's important to me to keep certain elements, but we had to change it, obviously, for practicality, because it had to fit into our world. It had to have a kind of tactical feeling to it too so that it made sense in our universe."

Foley changed up the character's colors since white wouldn't appear that great on TV screens, replacing it with gray. There's also homage to Mockingbird's weapon of choice: batons.

Fans will get even more Marvel goodness next Tuesday when the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer makes its broadcast premiere during the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode.
