Juliette Lewis took to Instagram over the weekend to pay tribute to her close friend, Misty Upham, once again.

"Misty exemplified the true power resilience and artistry of the human spirit. She lived through unspeakable violence. Yet she was aware of her own power," she began writing alongside an image of the late August: Osage County actress.

"She did not fear death. She'd grown up knowing its hungry eyes well. And spoke freely of this. One of our last conversations was about this very topic…She would readily tell you. She knew voicing things that were meant to break you was the only want to conquer the pain and past of it. Own your history."

Lewis went on to say, that Upham "understood pain and suffering" with a presence that "was majestic like a wide open landscape connected to the heavens, expansive and formidable."

She concluded her post with a heartfelt, emotional message to her fallen friend, saying, "I love you Misty. And I will not live in my regrets. I will honor your path. Accept what I can not control. And surrender it to the universe. Thank you for being the healing hand and steady guide you have been for many. And God Bless u for all you had to endure to show us how brightly you could shine."

On Oct. 17, after a search was underway for the missing actress, Upham's family confirmed that police had found the body of the 32-year-old.

Lewis immediately voiced her concerns surrounding the death, posting on Twitter that she believed Upham's passing was not a suicide.

Auburn Police Department told E! News last week, "At this point we do not have any evidence or information to believe there is foul play."
