On Thursday night, current DWTS contestant Janel Parris and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy went out to dinner with a group of friends that included Val's brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his partner from last season Meryl Davis. The gang got together to celebrate Davis' honor as Sportswoman of the Year from the Women's Sports Foundation.
"Family dinner. @iamvalc @meryledavis @janelparrish @hollywoodmerv @sergeonik," Maks captioned one Instagram pic of the whole group enjoying dinner at L.A.'s Ink restaurant.
Parrish shared the same pic, writing, "So much happy @iamvalc @meryledavis @maksimc @sergeonik @hollywoodmerv."
Maks shared another pic of just him and Meryl, writing, "Celebratory dinner with this Sportswoman Of The Year! @meryledavis." Too cute.
This season, many DWTS fans have been wondering if Janel and Val are more than just platonic partners in real life. Despite their flirty behavior on the dance floor, E! News can confirm they are not dating.
"They have a lot of chemistry on the dance floor but they are just friends," a source tells us of Janel and Val.
"I don't think there is any romance between Janel and Val," another insider dished, adding, "Dancing can be sexual, there has to be chemistry on the dance floor, that's part of what makes the show so good and so it's not surprising there are romance rumors circling."
