Apparently, there are perks to marrying George Clooney (and we're not just referring to the A-list lifestyle).

Less than three weeks after Amal Clooney tied the knot with Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, the newlywed was named London's most powerful woman.

The 36-year stunner placed fourth on the Evening Standard's list for its annual power ranking, falling behind George Osborne (Chancellor of the Exchequer), Boris Johnson (Mayor of London), and Demis Hassabis (Deep Mind Technologies founder), although the barrister ranked above every woman, beating out notable names such as Victoria Beckham (No. 9), Malala Yousafzai (the recent Nobel Peace Prize winner, who came in at No. 12) and Kate Bush (singer-songwriter, who landed the No.16 spot).

Amal, along with Victoria Beckham and Theresa May, are the only three woman to make the top 10. The gorgeous human rights lawyer, who took her husband's surname earlier this week following their lavish Italian nuptials, has officially returned to work to argue the case of the Parthenon Marbles, the ancient Greek statues which are partially housed in the British Museum in London.

Per the Evening Standard, Clooney was awarded her high ranking for her efforts to help Greece win back the prized antiquities from England.

One name noticeably absent on the list is Kate Middleton, who was among Time's Most Influential People In the World in 2013, but was no where to be seen amid this year's most powerful Londoners. While the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant with her second child, she has been suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a rare pregnancy complication often categorized by extreme sickness and has been forced to cancel a number of royal engagementsincluding a high profile trip to Malta.

Her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, however, fell just behind Mrs. Clooney and came in at No. 7 thanks to his recent charity work  and successful launch of the Invictus Games, an international, Paralympic-style multi-sporting event designed for wounded soldiers.
