Not only did a photo of the couple sharing a kiss at Universal Studios in Hollywood recently surface, but E! News has also learned that the lovebirds, who were first romantically linked in early August, have been sporting matching necklaces as of late.
As evidenced by the pair's recent Instagram pics, the 21-year-old pop star and the 26-year-old rapper have both been rocking almost identical lion pendants on chains. A source tells E! News that the gold bling the "Break Free" beauty's been wearing was a gift from her beau to represent the pair's special connection.
"Big Sean and Ariana Grande have been spending a lot of time together over the past few months," a source tells E! News. "He got her that necklace because he felt that it represents a special meaning between both of them. Arianna would always compliment him on his necklace and when he got it for her it was his special gift. She loved it!"
The pair, who have recorded two songs together, are seemingly doing better than ever, despite remaining relatively mum on the topic of their romance.
"Arianna just gets him and he gets her, so it works," the insider continued. "They are big supporters of each other and understand each other's schedules. They both like to keep a low profile when it comes to their relationship."
In late September, Big Sean, who was previously engaged to Naya Rivera, was asked about his relationship with Grande and while he chose not to confirm their romance, he did express his admiration for the pop princess.
"I like to keep my personal life personal," Sean said before adding, "But I am going to tell you this: That Ariana is very, very special. She's very special to me. Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, everything between me and her is good, and I'm just going to leave it at that."
Likewise, Ariana also appeared on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS radio show in August and played coy when she was asked about her beau.
"I mean, I guess, curiosity man, it'll kill you," Grande said. "I don't know what to say, Ryan. Why are you doing this me?"
She added, "I'll tell you when we're not on the air. I trust you. I've known you a long time. I don't know about these millions of people listening in right now."
Sean has previously spoken out about the significance of his lion chain, telling GQ magazine why he chose the animal as his personal "mascot."
"The lion is just king of everything, man," he said in an April 2012 interview. "The lion doesn't take any s--t from anybody. It's well-respected, cares about his family...know what I'm saying? It just really represents me perfectly, man. And it just goes with the Jesus piece. It's very strong, everything I want to be—everything I am, rather."
