The Hoff plus the Biebs equals one friendship we never saw coming!

After photos surfaced earlier this week of David Hasselhoff and Justin Bieber shooting super-secret videos, we had to get a few more details on this surprise collaborations.

"Justin is a great guy," Hasselhoff told E! News after the "Baby" singer made a movie cameo appearance. "He's cool. We're friends."

Cameras also rolled as the twosome cruised around Venice, Calif. in an iconic Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that easily gave us flashbacks to the Hoff's former series, Knight Rider.

The 20-year-old stayed in the passenger seat while Hasselhoff drove off wearing his signature leather jacket and sunglasses. Looking good for 62, Mr. Hoff!

Although their other project remains very hush-hush, multiple reports say Hasselhoff tweeted then deleted an update from the set.

"What a great day @CodySimpson @JustinBieber Emile our director for new video," he shared. "Signing t shirts for charity! RESPECT!"

Earlier this month, E! News learned Cody Simpson and Bieber would be releasing an album together.

"It is a smack bang duets [album]," Simpson told the Sydney Daily Telegraph. "Justin has been a good mate of mine for a while. It's just us writing."

He also added, "He told me he felt like I'd figured myself out and have grown into what he knows I will be so he was like, ‘I see you as that guitarist, singer, songwriter you've always wanted to be.' I play all the guitars on the album."

And while some fans may still be perplexed at Bieber's older co-worker, we can't help but forget a Twitter exchange the two had late last year.

After reports surfaced that the Hoff posed naked while surrounded by cheese, the Biebs struck up a Twitter bromance with the beloved Knight Rider star.

"Can't believe or dwell on the bs," Bieber tweeted to the actor. "Just gotta know your truth. U can't bring us down. And @DavidHasselhoff everyone loved Baywatch."

True that, Justin!
