Watch: Jennifer Aniston Is Grateful for Happy Life

Jennifer Aniston can't hide her happiness!

"My life is a happy life," she proclaimed during a press conference for her new movie, Cake. "It's a choice."

A choice made that much easier with fiancé Justin Theroux by her side.

"Justin is probably one of the funniest human beings that I've ever encountered," she added. "I have the great fortune to laugh a lot. We laugh a lot."

And humor was very much appreciated while Aniston made her latest movie, which premiered this week at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.

In the film, Aniston's character becomes fascinated by the suicide of Nina (Anna Kendrick), a woman in her chronic pain support class.

As she uncovers the details of her friend's death, Aniston develops a poignant relationship with Nina's husband (Sam Worthington), all while grappling with her own personal tragedy.

"I just thought she was a beautiful, tortured, layered character," she said. "I felt such extreme empathy for her and what she was struggling through and the journey that she takes."

The premiere screening received a standing ovation from the entire audience and critics are already raving about Aniston's role.

For Aniston, the role quickly reminded her of all the good things she has.

"We appreciate that we can get up, that we can stand up and run," she said. "We are all very blessed."
