Ariana Grande isn't a diva-in-training, contrary to reports.

During a radio interview with Mike E and Emma on 96.1 Monday, the "Bang Bang" singer addressed the negative press she's been receiving in Australia—particularly the claim that she stormed off the set of a photo shoot. "It does suck," the 21- year-old singer said of the "totally untrue and annoying" rumor mill.

Regarding that particular rumor, she told the co-hosts, "It was just a photographer or something who got mad at me because I left to change my outfit mid photo shoot because I didn't like my top. I was like, 'Oh, I'll be right back!' and then I came back and he had left.' I was like, 'Oh, s--t!' And then he came out and said all these ridiculous untrue things about me. I was like, 'That's not real. That's nonsense!'"

"My fans know who I am, my family knows who I am, my friends know who I am, and that's all that matters," Grande said. "No matter what you do, no matter what your profession is, no matter how old you are, everybody deals with haters. We could talk about it for hours...[Gossipers] are also people who don't necessarily know you or understand you. They're also judging an inaccurate depiction of you."

Scooter Braun, who manages Grande and Justin Bieber, also weighed in via Twitter.

"@ArianaGrande is kind, caring, and more than anything she is a great human being. Some people make up rumors for a living....so saying things about Ari comes with her now being a big star. But saying she isn't a good person that ain't gonna fly," Braun, 33, tweeted. "Just yesterday she did an impromptu meet and greet for all her fans that almost got her kicked out of her hotel after a 14 hour work day. Why? Because she knows u care so she does too. There is Zero truth to anything different. Enough is enough."
